Firefighters battling blaze in Aberdeenshire following suspected gas explosion

Fire crews are currently battling a blaze on an Aberdeenshire street after reports of a suspected gas explosion. Emergency services raced to Moray Road, Fraserburgh at around 12.10pm this afternoon.

Four fire engines and a specialist resources were deployed and firefighters are working to extinguish the blaze. A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 12.07pm on Friday, March 6 to reports of a suspected gas explosion at Moray Road, Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire. “Operations Control have mobilised four appliances and specialist resources to the incident where crews are currently working to extinguish a fire.”
