A female dog walker was knocked to the ground and kicked and punched by two men in a horrifying unprovoked attack. The woman was attacked by two thugs beside garages in Slade Gardens, Kirriemuir, Angus sometime between 8.30pm and 9pm on Tuesday December 28.

Tayside Division officers say she was not injured during the terrifying assault, which took place as she was walking her dog, but was left badly shaken.

Investigators believe the attack was entirely unprovoked. After making "extensive" enquiries in the local area, police have launched a wider appeal in a bid to trace two men in connection with the assault.
