direct to your inboxA family held a funeral for a Koi Carp after it died aged 20-years-old.The majestic fish, which did not have a name, belonged to a man who had spent many hours looking after the "wonderful” pet with his wife.When the husband died, the seven-kilo fish continued to be cared for until its death last week.The owners of the crematorium, which has held services for mice, rats, dogs, cats and even a tarantula, said the ceremony was the first of its kind.The fish was laid to rest at Nottingham's Pet Crematorium on Tuesday (February 16).It lay on a traditional funeral bier in the Rainbow Bridge Marquee, which had been put up outside the main crematorium building.
