Falkirk residents living on 'speeding hotspot' hope camera will 'save a life'

A speed camera has been installed on a busy Falkirk road dubbed a "speeding hotspot" by those those who live there. Residents on Camelon Road, which runs between the town centre and Camelon, say it's much welcomed and they hope that it'll reduce the amount of dangerous driving.

The camera is situated near the Park Hotel.A number of motorists have been stopped by traffic cops in recent week for travelling well over the the limit.A man who lives nearby said: "This has been a long time coming.

A lot of us on this road have asked both Falkirk Council and Police Scotland for cameras to be installed."But they told us that no enough drivers were being stopped to have enforcement cameras."Cars are stopped near enough daily on this road for speeding.
