Scots schools are being told to start putting preparations in place in the event next year's exams are cancelled because of the coronavirus.

This year's National and Higher exams were wiped out as schools were forced to shut to help contain the pandemic. But Education Secretary John Swinney has now warned he can't say "with absolute certainty" whether next year's exams will go ahead due to "ongoing impact" of Covid-19.
