easyJet issues warning to holidaymakers heading to Spanish islands

Brits planning holidays to popular Spanish islands have been issued a warning by airline easyJet. With UK travel restrictions easing considerably in the coming weeks, many people are heading abroad for a much-needed sunshine holiday.

Balearic islands such as Ibiza and Mallorca are always a top destination for UK tourists, thanks to their stunning beaches and glorious weather.

But easyJet has issued a warning to travellers heading to these destinations, the LiverpoolEcho reports. READ MORE: Latest vaccine requirements for Spain, France, Italy and Greece ahead of half term Anyone attempting to book an All Inclusive stay in these destinations via the budget airline is given the following message: "Due to a change in Spanish law which affects certain resorts in the Balearic islands, alcoholic drinks are now limited to three per person at lunch and dinner as part of the all inclusive basis." Essentially, Brits who book all inclusive holidays at a number of resorts on the islands will be given a six-drink limit each day.

The law came in during 2020, to limit extreme drunken behaviour that affects residents. The Balearic government has also banned happy hours, pub crawls and two-for-one drink offers.
