Ricky Gervais
Ricky Dene Gervais (born 25 June 1961) is an English stand-up comedian, actor, writer, film producer, director and musician. He is perhaps best known for creating, writing and acting in the British television series The Office (2001–2003). He has won seven BAFTA Awards, five British Comedy Awards, two Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and the Rose d'Or twice (2006 and 2019), as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. In 2007, he was placed at No. 11 on Channel 4's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups and at No. 3 on the updated 2010 list. In 2010, he was named on the Time 100 list of the world's most influential people.

EastEnders star Shaun Williamson’s secret son reveals he was always a huge fan of his actor dad

THE secret son of EastEnders star Shaun Williamson was a huge fan before learning the actor was his dad. Gary, 34, thought Shaun was hilarious in Ricky Gervais’s comedy series Extras.

Shaun, 54, told The Sun on Sunday that he never knew he had fathered a child with a circus juggler lover until Gary tracked him down in 2013.

Shaun, who played Albert Square’s Barry Evans, then had a DNA test which proved Gary was his son. Gary had learned the truth from his sister.

Writing in his dad’s new book, A Matter of Facts, he recalled: “My dad was in fact Shaun Williamson, an actor that I had admired for years, not from EastEnders but from the sitcom Extras.
