thesun.co.ukEASTENDERS' star Frankie Fitzgerald is unrecognisable 18 years after playing Nasty Nick Cotton's son Ashley. He appeared as a tearaway teen in the BBC One soap alongside actor John Altman (Nasty Nick) and was a chip off the old block.
He was also half-brother to Kirsty 'Dotty' Cotton. The character was first introduced as a nine-year-old, played by Rossi Higgins at the time, but he left with the Cotton family to start a fresh life in Gravesend.
Then in 1997, Dot mentioned her grandson had returned to London to get away from his convict dad who was sent to prison for drug offences.
However, Ashley wasn't seen on-screen until three years later when he turned up on the square as a troubled teenager in 2000.
