TV presenter Eamonn Holmes has said that he felt “humiliated” as his co-presenter Isabel Webster had to help him through crowds after he stumbled while reporting on the Queen’s funeral last month.

Eamonn, 62, is currently recovering from surgery to relieve his chronic back pain. He has previously spoken about his struggles with back pain after a dislocated pelvis led to three slipped discs.

Appearing on his usual GB News show via video call, Eamonn discussed how he felt with Isabel, 39, having to assist him as he stumbled and struggled on his crutch during the presenting stint, saying: “It was an issue for me.” The presenting duo discussed their experiences covering the Queen's death and subsequent funeral.

Isabel reflected on how they were “up against the crowd,” explaining: “There was a pack of around eight people wide, walking, all trying to see the royal procession and we were going against the crowd arm in arm, and it was a long walk.” Praising his co-star for helping him, Eamonn said: “You're one of my dearest friends in life Isabel, and you go above and beyond the call of duty. “I mean, there is such a beautiful heart with you.
