A Dumbarton landlord has hit out at breweries charging full rent for closed pubs – warning many will be facing financial ruin and may not reopen.David Woodcock, who operates the Burgh Bar in High Street, said he could be left up to £20,000 in debt as owner Punch Pubs is deferring rent payments instead of cancelling or reducing them.He said some pubs in Dumbarton and Alexandria may not reopen as thousands of pounds in rent debts and no income will leave them battling for survival.The publican, who runs the popular bar alongside wife Anne-Marie, told the Lennox Herald: “Some breweries have offered their tenants discounts or waived the rent altogether but there are some that haven’t.“All Punch Pubs has done is defer rent for collection at a
