Furious employees of a Scots blind company have been left “high and dry” after the company failed to pay their wages before shutting up shop.More than 60 people employed by Glasgow-based City Blinds & Shutters were told the company had ceased trading through an email sent at 4am yesterday.The workforce had been due to be paid three weeks wages for the month of March after being sent home last Monday following the COVID-19 lockdown.But the firm has now failed to pay them their earnings despite employee claims that they were guaranteed job security on March 23.One former employee, who doesn’t want to be named, said: “They had us all in one by one, saying that our jobs were secure before we were all sent home last Monday.“They asked us to take
