Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have become two of the most relatable members of the royal family. Just recently, The Duchess, 40, stunned onlookers when she boarded an economy flight to head to Balmoral with Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four.
And as the summer comes to an end, the royal family are gearing up to move from London to Windsor, where for the first time, all three of the children will be attending the same school.
Private co-educational institution Lambrook School, in Berkshire, near Ascot, is the Cambridge children's new school and as the parents will be paying a reported £50,000 for all three of the youngsters to attend one can only hope their meals are something special.
However, when they come home for dinner the three young royals are very much hands on, with Vanity Fair previously reporting that Princess Charlotte loves to get involved in the kitchen.The publication reported: “When Kate or the housekeeper are preparing meals in the kitchen, Charlotte will set up shop next to them, her own toy set by her side to imitate." The family’s meals are very much on the healthy side and the Duchess of Cambridge previously told Mary Berry that her three youngsters actually really enjoy eating their veggies. "We've got carrots, beans, beetroot - a massive favourite - Louis absolutely loves beetroot," she told the former Great British Bake Off star.
