David Beckham
David Robert Joseph Beckham OBE (born 2 May 1975) is an English former professional footballer, the current president of Inter Miami CF and co-owner of Salford City. He played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, Milan, LA Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain and the England national team, for which he held the appearance record for an outfield player until 2016. He is the first English player to win league titles in four countries: England, Spain, the United States and France. He retired in May 2013 after a 20-year career, during which he won 19 major trophies.

David Beckham sinks £11million of own cash into Inter Miami in bid to turn football club into a success

HE had a glittering career as a footballer, and now David Beckham is determined to replicate that success as a football club owner.

But while he was the one receiving millions in wages from teams including Manchester United and Real Madrid, this time around it’s Becks putting his hand in his pocket for his new team Inter Miami CF.

In his latest investment, David has sunk another £11.2million to increase his stake in the side, which played its first Major League Soccer match in March last year.

The latest mammoth money drop was revealed in new paperwork filed at Companies House. But he will be hoping it all comes back — and more — should the team hit the big time over the years.
