Countryfile viewers rage ‘the BBC should be ashamed!’ for ‘biased’ report about rising cost of food

COUNTRYFILE viewers have taken to social media in their droves to complain about a segment on the rising cost of food. Tom Heap spoke with farmers in Northern Ireland during Sunday evening's instalment to find out the impact that Brexit has had on the industry.

However, some BBC viewers weren’t happy as Tom investigated how some farmers had benefited from the Northern Ireland protocol, while others had been detrimentally impacted.  “As the UK and EU continue discussions over trade agreements, many of our farmers are finding themselves caught in the crossfire," presenter Tom began. “For its size, Northern Ireland is a farming powerhouse worth £2.4billion per year.” Tom then spoke with dairy farmer Charlie from County Down.
