Hospital admissions with Covid-19 in Manchester have dropped by more than 75 per cent in the last week, as infection rates continue to plummet across the region.
Coronavirus rates have fallen below the national average in all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester, according to the latest data.
Tameside continues to have the highest coronavirus infection rate in Greater Manchester, with a rate 983.2 cases per 100,000 people in the week ending January 23. In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 813.3 cases per 100,000 population - lower than the national average of 1003.8 per 100,000.
