Coronavirus cases in Scotland increase by 32 as 153 patients now test positive with deadly disease

A total of 153 patients have now been diagnosed with Coronavirus in Scotland - after 32 new cases were confirmed today. The Scottish Government revealed the new cases this afternoon.

The Glasgow total rises to 39, meanwhile Lothian has 28 cases.Over 70s in Scotland will not self-isolate instead the advice is to 'reduce social contact' in a bid to stop spread of deadly disease.

The Scottish FA has cancelled all domestic professional and grassroots football until further notice, and the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon also revealed gatherings of over 500 are to be banned from Monday.

The First Minister announced the action in Scotland to protect the resilience of the emergency services until the impact of the virus has lessened
