Coronation Street’s Tina O’Brien’s 'so proud' and 'can’t wait' for daughter Scarlett’s Waterloo Road acting debut
ok.co.ukTina O’Brien has been in Coronation Street since aged sixteen, playing Sarah Platt. And last month it was revealed that her daughter Scarlett, 13, will follow in her footsteps and join a hit series.
Scarlett has been signed up for the return of BBC One's school drama, Waterloo Road. Scarlett’s dad Ryan Thomas is also an actor, he played Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street.
Tina told OK! about her joy for her daughter, who is joining a show that she has also starred in.Tina played Bex Fisher, the oldest daughter of headteacher Karen Fisher in series six.The announcement of the ‘Class of 2022’ was made by the show favourite, Adam Thomas, who plays Donte Charles and is Scarlett’s uncle!
So with filming already underway in Manchester, Scarlett will have plenty of people to turn to for advice on her first TV role.
