Police have launched a probe after a taxi driver was held at knife point in Kilmarnock.Around 7.35am on Wednesday, February 10, a man threatened the driver of the private hire car on the town’s Western Road.He pointed a knife at the victim and demanded money before making off empty handed.Police say the 59-year-old driver was uninjured but left very shaken by the incident.Detective Constable Danny Ver Berne, Kilmarnock CID, said: "The driver was parked waiting on a fare when the man walked towards the car.“Without any warning, he brandished a knife at him and demanded cash.
