Cola (ex-Ought) announce debut album details, share “So Excited”

Late last year Tim Darcy and Ben Stidworthy announced the end of one band and the start of another. Ought were gone but in their place was Cola, a new band that also includes Evan Cartwright of U.S.

Girls. Today comes news of Cola's debut album and a brand new song, too. Scroll down to listen to "So Excited." "So Excited" will appear on Deep In View, titled after philosopher Alan Watts’ anthology of the same name, due May 20 via Fire Talk.

It follows the band's debut single "Blank Curtain" Sky," first released last year "We would talk about this track as the ‘capstone’ of the Cola record," Darcy says in a statement. "It was that song that we would warm up with and get tight on since it was one of the first to really come together, plus it’s fun to play.

There are Cola songs of mine that predate this one but this was the one I was working on when Ben told me he was going to come back from grad school and we talked about jamming together.
