Manchester United have been handed a boost in their reported chase to sign PSV starlet Cody Gakpo. Gakpo, 23, was earmarked as a possible alternative to Antony during the summer transfer window before Erik ten Hag and key figures in the Old Trafford boardroom eventually struck up an agreement with Ajax for the Brazil man.
Signing both players at the same time was always going to be a difficult ask. Despite suggesting a move to United was on the cards, Gakpo stayed put in the Eredivisie and he's been in superb form at the start of this campaign.
Indeed, the Netherlands international has scored 10 goals and laid on nine assists for PSV in 13 games across all competitions - underlining his status on the European stage.
