‘Cobra Kai’ Creators Land Las Vegas Action Comedy ‘Obliterated’ At Netflix; Series Moves From TBS

It’s not clear when the cable network passed on the project and whether it was related to the pandemic or the recent strategy shift.
News of the show’s move to Netflix comes as TBS has been pulling away from original scripted programming following the WarnerMedia-Discovery merger.
The basic cable network also recently nixed new comedy series Kill the Orange-Faced Bear a week before it was to start filming; that project also is being shopped.It marks the latest project to land at Netflix after previously been in the works elsewhere; last month the streamer ordered Glamorous to series, starring Fuller House’s Miss Benny, which had previously been in the works as a pilot for The CW.
