straight to your inboxThe City Football Group have confirmed the purchase of French side ESTAC Troyes, bringing their portfolio to 10 clubs worldwide.

The CFG own Manchester City, and recently added Lommel SK in Belgium to the group as they look to expand in Europe. Now, they have added Ligue 2 outfit Troyes, confirming they are the new majority shareholders in the 2001 Intertoto Cup winners.

They have purchased their shares from Daniel Masoni with French businessman Maxime Ray taking a minority shareholding and place on the board.

Ferran Soriano, chief executive of the CFG, said they are delighted to purchase a club in France, referring to the grassroots talent available in the country.
