The Broadway show Almost Famous has teamed up with legendary rock photographer Neal Preston to shoot exclusive photos that will be featured in the upcoming production! Cameron Crowe, who wrote the book and co-lyrics for the musical, also wrote and directed the movie of the same name.
The story is semi-autobiographical and is based on his days as a teenage writer for Rolling Stone. When Crowe was just shy of 15-years-old, he met 20-year-old Preston at the San Diego Sports Arena and they became lifelong friends.

Cast members featured in the photos include Chris Wood, Drew Gehling, Matt Bittner, and Brandon Contreras. “Almost Famous is as close to being in a time machine and getting transported to 1973 as you’ll ever get,” Neal remarked on set.
