Oprah Gail Winfrey (born Orpah Gail Winfrey; January 29, 1954) is an American media executive, actress, talk show host, television producer, and philanthropist. She is best known for her talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, broadcast from Chicago, which was the highest-rated television program of its kind in history and ran in national syndication for 25 years from 1986 to 2011. Dubbed the "Queen of All Media", she was the richest African American of the 20th century and North America's first black multi-billionaire, and she has been ranked the greatest black philanthropist in American history. By 2007, she was sometimes ranked as the most influential woman in the world.

Music superstars from all around the world are lending their voices in support of “Nurse Heroes” on U.S. Thanksgiving Day. Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder, and Black Eyed Peas are among the star-studded performers at an event also boasting appearances by Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey, and Billy Crystal.

The concert will provide funds for programs, including scholarships for nurses and their children. The event is produced by 19-time Grammy winner Emilio Estefan.

ADELE has been warned her plush new Beverly Hills pad is at high risk if there is an earthquake, The Sun can reveal.  Authorities in Los Anegeles found in a survey that the £44.5m eight bedroom, 12 bathroom mansion in the star-studded Beverly Park guard-gated community is within an “active fault near-source zone”.  Official records confirm the estate located on a hillside lies in a potentially hazardous area along the Hollywood Fault.  The California Geological Survey concluded in 2014 that the home - which the Rolling In The Deep singer bought from Sylvester Stallone in January - is within the active fault, which is capable of generating a magnitude 7 earthquake. The "seismic hazards" section of the survey noted that the buildings and home would be at risk of a landslide in a quake.
