CBBC star Chelsie Whibley has tragically died at the age of 29 after battling cystic fibrosis. The TV star, who was best known for Dani's House and Sadie J, died after fighting the genetic disorder which causes a build up of sticky mucus in the lungs and digestive system and can cause breathing difficulties.

Actress Chelsie, from Denmead, Hampshire, was reportedly rushed to Southampton General Hospital on Saturday 2 April and passed away around 2.45pm, according to The Mirror.

Her husband Glyn, 33, who tied the knot to Chelsie in August 2014, has paid tribute to his 'gorgeous inspiration wife' and said: "I’m afraid this is the hardest thing I have ever had to write." He continued: "It was very quick and she was not in any pain.
