Castlefield called police reporting a rave of over 100 people, but officers say nobody was breaching coronavirus restrictions.

Police were called to the Castlefield Bowl arena shortly after 7pm on Friday (31 July) to reports of a large gathering of people.One resident believes the event had been planned beforehand, due to the fact revellers were seen dancing to loud music coming from a large sound system.He said he phoned the police at 7pm, 11pm and 12pm, after claims 100 people or more had been gathering at the outdoor music venue.GMP said officers arrived at 7.25pm on Friday night, but did not identify any criminal breaches of the Covid-19 guidelines.Greater Manchester, parts of Lancashire and West Yorkshire were made subject to targeted.
