Carson Daly and his wife of more than six years, Siri, have spent almost a third of the marriage sleeping in separate beds. They say it's the best thing they've ever done. "The Voice" host recently spoke about his and Siri's snoozing arrangement, saying he will usually sleep on a couch before nestling up next to his wife in her bed."I was served my sleep-divorce papers a few years ago," Carson said on "Today." "It's the best thing that ever happened to us.

We both, admittedly, slept better apart."The couple began sleeping in separate beds when Siri was pregnant with the couple's fourth child, Goldie, who was born in March 2020.

Only recently did the couple start seeing together again, but that's not a nightly occurrence. "We've reconciled a little bit, so we're just sleep separated," he joked. "So some nights I'm in the bed.

Some nights I'm on the couch or in the guest room."The bedroom conversation began as he and colleagues were discussing a Scandinavian sleep method in which couples share a bed but have individual blankets. "You have your own comforters or duvets," he said. "Studies have actually found that sleeping with the same blanket can result in more interrupted sleep, as much as 30 percent.'"Carson has previously spoken about his unorthodox sleeping situation, telling People magazine that he and Siri "couldn't get comfortable" in bed while she was in her third trimester."We were like a commercial you would see, kicking each other and just not sleeping," he said. "We woke up and we just shook hands like, 'I love you, but it's time to sleep divorce.
