Care home worker thrown out of ASDA because staff 'don't like the way he shops'

A furious man claimed ASDA staff kicked him out of a supermarket because they 'didn't like the way he was shopping'. Matthew Scholes said he was booted out after an ASDA colleague approached him in the alcohol aisle about his shopping habits.

To make things worse, Matthew had just finished a 12 hour night shift at a care home. The 49-year-old said that when he got to the alcohol aisle a female worker told him "We have seen you in here before" and "I want you to leave the store right now".

Matthew, who lives in Thornaby, said he tried to explain he had done nothing wrong but she kept repeating herself and he had no choice but to put his basket down and leave the shop.
