Car smashes into house in early hours and leaves devastating scene of wreckage

The smash happened in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday) in Rochdale. Police closed off Rochdale Road in Milnrow with fire crews and paramedics also reportedly at the scene.
One neighbour told M.E.N that the car crashed into some metal railings on the side of the road. The metal railings went flying '60ft up the street' into the front garden of another house, leaving another window smashed. Three houses in total have been left with damage, the eyewitness said.
