Bothwell and Uddingston Men’s Shed has been handed a cash boost of £1500 to help with start-up costs.Councillors at the Hamilton Area Committee meeting on Wednesday, November 17, decided the group should receive the full amount they had requested, as opposed to the £250 which was recommended by council officials.Councillor Maureen Devlin, for Bothwell and Uddingston, said: “This is a relatively new group in Bothwell and Uddingston; they’re having to depend on St Bride’s in Bothwell to accommodate them out of sheer courtesy and to support the community.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
