four-year-old boy has been attacked by a large pitbull outside a Sainsbury's supermarket in front of horrified onlookers. The child was attacked outside the Wolverhampton store just shortly before 11.30am on August 11.

Terrified witnesses told of how the tot sprinted past the dog towards his dad outside the shop entrance when the animal suddenly lunged at him, reports The Mirror.

A supermarket worker who seen the attack outside the superstore claimed that the dog belonged to a homeless gentleman who often sat outside the main entrance.
