Boy, 15, stabbed in fight on residential street as police comb area for clues

reports of an altercation on Cemetery Road in Swinton at around 10.20pm on Tuesday night (12 January). Later that evening, a 15-year-old boy presented at hospital with a stab wound.Police believe his injury was linked to the earlier disturbance.He currently remains in hospital for treatment for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.Greater Manchester Police say they are treating the stabbing as 'isolated' and don't believe there is any wider threat to the community.A large police cordon is currently in place on the entire length of Cemetery Road South as officers continue to carry out their investigations.Tactical Aid Unit officers could be seen combing the pavement and underneath cars for evidence.Local residents reported.
