The incident happened on Hollyhedge Road in Wythenshawe at around midday today (Wednesday). Witnesses described a major response from the emergency services and a large cordon in place near the Martinscroft Metrolink stop.

Greater Manchester Police said they were called to reports of a collision and found a teenage boy with injuries. He has been taken to hospital in a condition that is not believed to be life-threatening.
