Dog becomes violently ill after encounter with jellyfish at Scots beach as owner warns others

Scots beach. Chilli was splashing around in the water at South Queensferry when she ran over a huge jellyfish. Then, on the way back from the beach, she became violently sick in the car and her owner Fiona sought out urgent medical care.Chilli was struggling to breathe, and when taken to the vets, Fiona was told it has a reaction to the jellyfish.

According to Edinburgh Live, the mum-of-two feared the worse, but after a course of anti-histamines her beloved pooch is starting to feel better.

Fiona, from Edinburgh, has spoken out about her "scary" ordeal to help raise awareness about the dangers of jellyfish to dogs.

She said: “It was really really scary.“Chilli was in the water and I looked down and saw a big red jellyfish.“She was oblivious.
