Blaze breaks out during funeral at Glasgow crematorium as probe launched

It’s understood the fire broke out after the casket had been lowered and away from the view of mourners.Glasgow City Council, which operates the site, said a probe had been launched into the circumstances surrounding the fire, which saw funeral services diverted to another crematorium almost 10 miles away while emergency crews worked at the scene.

A Glasgow City Council spokesman said: “The fire service was called to deal with an incident at Linn Crematorium and a fire was extinguished."A full investigation.
