THE BBC has come under fierce scrutiny after eagle-eyed Wozel Gummidge viewers claimed the kids’ show was littered with sexual innuendos.

The highly anticipated rebooted series - called Twitchers - was released on the BBC iPlayer on Tuesday - but it hasn't gone down well with some.

After watching the remake, viewers were left horrified after claiming to have spotted at least four hidden crude sex jokes. It comes as Ofcom revealed that 2021 shattered all previous complaints records, with people becoming more offended by what they see on TV.

In one scene, actor Steve Pemberton, who plays grumpy farmer Henry Braithwaite, tells his foster children about his past hobby as a birdwatcher.
