In 2006, freshly-uncovered post mortem photographs showed evidence that Alexina was assaulted but notes from the review found the new information was deliberately held from brother Peter and his siblings.Police Scotland have now offered the family £25,000 compensation and said officers' decision to withhold information from the family was 'poor judgement'.Peter, 59, who has been fighting for answers over his sister's death for almost four decades, says the family are "insulted" by the offer and have demanded Police Scotland review the case and admit negligence.Despite crucial evidence now being destroyed, Peter has again called for a public inquiry to be held and claims if police had investigated his sister's death properly, those responsible would have been prosecuted.Speaking to the Record, Peter said: "We are totally insulted.
