A street light, which has snapped in two, has remained broken for two and a half years in Prestwick. The lamp was smashed in a car accident in the town's East Road and residents have been waiting for it to get fixed ever since.The top segment has been taken away while the bent bottom half remains with tape wrapped around it.Prestwick South Community Council want the problem sorted out over health and safety fears.Member Martin Dorans said: “This should not take two and a half years.
