Ayrshire's leading hospitality chain is to trial a shorter working week at one of its top venues. Buzzworks is to temporarily close Lido in Prestwick each Monday in order to "protect staff wellbeing and productivity."The move also comes in a bid to "combat staff shortages felt across the hospitality industry," the company said.Bosses insisted they are looking to recruit new members to join their team while making the move to scale back hours.Kenny Blair, Buzzworks CEO, said: “The hospitality industry across the UK is struggling to attract and retain top talent, both front of house and within the kitchen."These shortages bring a real strain to how a venue operates, so we must find new ways in which to promote hospitality as a viable,.
