Ayrshire residents under age of 50 being lined up for Covid vaccines

Ayrshire – as the next phase of the inoculation programme gets underway.Across Scotland, the aim is for all adults to have received a first vaccine dose by the end of July.Those aged between 40-49 will be invited first, followed by those aged 30-39 and then 18 to 29-year-olds.Letters inviting people to attend clinics to receive their vaccination will begin to arrive for Under-50s across the region from the beginning of May.NHS Ayrshire & Arran director of public health Lynne McNiven said: “We have made great progress in delivering the vaccine to more than 207,000 people across Ayrshire and Arran to date and I am very grateful to the vaccine delivery teams for how they have responded to this huge logistical challenge.“You will be invited.
