Auldhouse Primary bring classroom WWII topic to life

A classroom topic about World War II was brought to life this week by pupils from Auldhouse Primary School.Dean Bowen from Homefront Histories delivered a full day workshop on the homefront during WWII.He brought a range of original artefacts and resources to the school so that children could interact with the original items and learn what it was like to be on the homefront during WWII.Dean arrived at the school appearing as a British soldier looking for volunteers for a mission to learn about WWII.The children were given an opportunity to dress up in original war attire and even got to explore some of the decommissioned weapons from the war.They were also given a chance to compare the equipment used by both British and German soldiers
