This month, artwork created by members of LGBT+ youth groups was due to be displayed at train stations across the North West as part of a campaign by The Proud Trust.
However, as all but essential travel has now been prohibited, things have had to change. As a way of spreading positivity online and keeping communities together, The Proud Trust has brought the art installations online.
According to British Transport Police (BTP) figures, homophobic incidents on railways, tubes and buses saw an 200 per cent increase between 2013 and 2018.
These incidents, many presumed to have occurred ahead and during regional Pride events, are at the forefront of the campaign raising awareness on hate crime within the LGBT+ community.
