Arsenal have confirmed midfielder Lucas Torreira will miss their upcoming Premier League game against Manchester City after suffering an ankle injury in the FA Cup win over Portsmouth.

The original fixture between the two sides was postponed due to City's involvement in the Carabao Cup final but has been rearranged for Wednesday, March 11.

Arsenal booked their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals with a win against Portsmouth but Torreira was forced off the field with an injury after just 16 minutes.

The 24-year-old was carried off on a stretcher following a challenge from Pompey defender James Bolton and Arsenal have confirmed the Uruguayan has fractured his ankle, meaning he will miss the game against Pep Guardiola's side.
