Arrests made after Hamilton raid recovers £14k of illegal substances

Police have arrested and charged 13 people in connection with drug offences after raids in Hamilton. Officers from Lanarkshire Pro Active Crime Team recovered quantities of cocaine, heroin and etizolam tablets with a combined estimated street value of £14,170.

It came during a pre-planned operation where specialist cops executed warrants at 13 different addresses in the town.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Speaking after recovering the drugs and cash, DI Laura Sands told Lanarkshire Live : “I hope that this operation provides reassurance to those living in the local community that we will continue to act on their concerns and use every tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from our street and put a stop to the misery they cause.
