Appeal to track down missing greyhound near Thornhill

An appeal has gone out to people in Thornhill, Closeburn and the surrounding areas to be on the lookout for a missing greyhound.Daisy, three, ran away from the garden of holiday home Holmhill Cottage after getting spooked on Monday January 31.The blue and white greyhound is a nervous dog and people have been asked to check outbuildings and sheds in case she is sheltering in them.

Daisy is a nervous dog and won’t respond to human contact and any sightings should be reported to owner Carol Walker or the Lost Dogs Dumfries and Galloway group.A massive community search took place last Saturday in Thornhill and the surrounding area towards Closeburn.Daisy’s owner Carol Walker said: “We are heartbroken that Daisy is missing.“We only just adopted her after fostering her for three months and she was just starting to settle down into her forever home.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has given up their time so far to help look for her. Everyone has been truly amazing.“Please continue to help us to find her.
