An inquest has heard how a delay of almost 24 hours in an elderly woman's treatment did not play a significant role in her death.
Joan Thomason, 92, had to wait almost a day to be taken to hospital after falling at her care home in 2021. Mrs Thomason suffered a fall at Croes Atti residential home in Flint, Wales, at approximately 1pm on September 19, 2021.
John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales east and central, heard that the ambulance service was first notified of the incident at 1.12pm, North Wales Live reports.
An inquest held at Ruthin County Hall on March 16 heard that Mrs Thomason, who had fallen onto her left hand side, was then lifted onto her chair by care home employees after they carried out a body check.
