Amber Riley is explaining why she doesn’t use the word “curse” to describe the tragic things that have happened to the cast of Glee.
The 35-year-old actress, who played Mercedes Jones on the hit Fox series, spoke out in a new interview. Click inside to find out what she said… Amber chatted with Page Six and was asked about the deaths of Cory Monteith, Naya Rivera, and Mark Salling.
The outlet noted that she doesn’t use the word “curse” to describe the tragedies, as many have done on social media over the years. “Unfortunately things happen,” Amber said. “There was definitely some energy that happened on that show, but people had lives before Glee.
Glee wasn’t our whole entire lives.” She added, “Life is unpredictable and it’s short, which is why I make it a point to get the most enjoyment out of life and do what I want to do.” Earlier this month, Amber tweeted about people calling her “Mercedes” in real life. “I despise when ppl call me Mercedes.
