dailyrecord.co.ukScots teenager Amber Gibson had been staying at a council-run residential care home before she was tragically found murdered in Hamilton.
The 16-year-old was reported missing from the Hillhouse area of the town at around 9.15pm on Friday with her body discovered two days later.
A heavy police presence remains at the scene near Cadzow Glen where the youngster was found on Sunday morning. Following a post mortem, police have now confirmed that her death is being treated as murder and that the person responsible has not yet been caught.South Lanarkshire Council have issued their heartfelt condolences to everyone who knew and loved Amber.They said: “Our thoughts are with Amber’s family at this dreadful time, and with all friends and others
