The debate was started on the Aldi Shoppers UK Facebook group this week, where one shopper claimed to be asking the divisive question 'for a friend' - on whether tomato sauce should go in the fridge.
Within hours, over 400 people had descended furiously on the post to offer some very strong opinions on the subject. The first commenter thought they had put the matter to rest, writing: "If you think about where it was in the supermarket that’s where you store it," they said, before adding a self-satisfied: "Was it in a fridge or not, problem solved
