Albion Rovers fell to a 2-0 defeat at title-chasing Forfar on Saturday, but boss Brian Reid says they’ll have played worse and won games.Reid felt the Coatbridge side more than matched their hosts for large periods of the game, but were struck down by two set-piece goals from Andy Munro. But Reid felt his side were well in the game.He said: “We actually played quite well, but if you don’t take your chances and you lose two really poor goals from two set-pieces...
that was the difference.“Overall we were probably every bit as good as them, if not better, in terms of game-play.“But two crosses into the box weren’t dealt with, and the boy has two free headers to score two goals out of nothing – that’s not good enough.
Other than that Cammy Binnie’s not had much to do.“That was the difference, and it could have been a different game, but I can’t keep saying the same thing – we’ve got to be better than that.“We probably created better chances but if you don’t defend two set-pieces properly and you don’t take your chances you get the result that we did.
I’m disappointed, but we’ve just got to pick ourselves up.”Reid added: “I’d rather play badly and win the game, but it was an improved performance on last week.
